July 2010-
Hello again! These past few months have been awesome at Hammerhead! We have had some amazing artists in, and put together some world class recordings. First we had Aftermath (www.myspace.com/aftermath) in to record their debut EP. This was an incredible experience because the members came in on their last week in town before heading out to Boston. It was a solid week of excellent work, and all of the mixing was done remotely. You can find their EP up on July 31st at amazon and Itunes, as well as local Boston-area stores.
Following Aftermath, Heat Peanuts came in to do their second album. We recorded the entire album live, and approached it from a very vintage point of view, trying to capture the raw performance, without much effect. More info to come on that album once release dates are set!
Last, we are working with Producer Jason Moore, and one of his top artists to put together a 3 song EP. Look forward to that in August! We at Hammerhead would love to see a few new fresh faces around here, so if you or your band is looking for some quality recording at incredible reasonable prices, give us a shout. April 2010-
Hey everyone! Another good month has gone by in the studio. We recently aquired some new equipment that I would like to share with you. First, we purchased our very own Marshall 1960c 4x12 cabinet complete with the incredible sounding "Greenback" speakers. This cabinet rocks with every head we have tried it with, and we look forward to some of you using it on upcoming recordings to see if you like it too! At the same time, we complimented that with a second Marshall cabinet loaded up with standard GT75 speakers. This cabinet is much more modern sounding, and rocks equally as hard. Last, but most definately not least, We recently released our first pro audio equipment under our own brand, Hammerhead Audio. The first piece to be released is a compressor based off of the famous Solid State Logic G series Compressor. Trust us when we say this: This compressor rocks. It will add a ton of life to your music, especially with the drums and bass. Check back in the coming months, as we release more of our very own pro audio equipment, and feel free to book a few hours to come try some of it out with us and let us know what you think!

March 2010-
Its been a long fall and winter at Hammerhead. We have been working hard with a few different local artists, as well as with our own studio band, Your Dying Hero. We finished a 5 song EP, which is on our myspace (Myspace.com/YourDyingHero). We are again booking up for spring and early summer already, and have some promising artists looking to get their music down to a commercial product. Thanks for all the support so far, and I hope to see so many of you in here soon. What are you waiting for? Come check us out!

July 2009-
During July, we worked with 2 different local artists, the first being Chestkick, from Lake County, Illinois. We recorded a 3 song EP (Available on their myspace. Myspace.com/Chestkick) and had a lot of fun doing it. The second band we worked with is Red 7, who unfortunatly are losing their drummer in September, right at the launch of the second full length CD, with 2 songs that were tracked at Hammerhead Studios. They are now going to be looking for a frontman, since their current singer/guitarist is going to switch over to the drumming departament, so if you know anyone, or are interested yourself, check them out at Myspace.com/red7fans. August is going to be a big month at Hammerhead, and so far is being booked up fast, so get in here and see what we are all about!
