Welcome to Hammerhead Studios!

Hammerhead is a privately owned production studio capable of recording, mixing, and mastering your songs. We provide industry leading equipment, as well as years of experience to create any sound you could possibly desire. Our small size gives you and your work the intimate attention that it deserves, without sacrificing quality. We provide faster turn-around and better prices than larger studios with high overhead.

Hammerhead first opened to the public in 2009, and since then has helped over a dozen artists release commercial recordings. We have worked with artists in the midwest, as well as on the east coast. As we continue to work with more artists, we maintain the highest standards that we originally built Hammerhead on. Although we are experienced in many types of music, we specialize in modern rock and alternative music.

Hammerhead is located in Island Lake, Illinois, about 45 minutes north of Downtown Chicago, and an hour and a half south of Milwaukee. We are located in a very quiet and secure warehouse complex that is close to many resturants and hotels, so you can comfortably spend as little or as much time on your project as you would like.
